Suburban Travel Agency, Inc., located in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania and established in 1952, is the oldest travel agency on the Philadelphia Main Line.  Our mission since our inception has been to provide our clientele with superior travel services.

In June 2012, I celebrated 40 years in the travel industry. There have been many changes in the travel industry over the past 4 decades. I have witnessed industry giants like PAN AM, TWA and Eastern Airlines crumble. The Internet also presents a whole new set of challenges.

At a time when industry partnerships were becoming a thing of the past, Suburban Travel chose to strengthen their relationships with our clients and partners in the industry.

Our relationship with Aram Zaranian, GM at the 5-star deluxe Half Moon Resort in Jamaica, Kevin Roberts, owner of Coyaba Resort, the best kept secret in Jamaica, and my friend of 16 years, Mary Phillips, GM at Jamaica Inn, winner of several prestigious travel awards including being voted as one of the World’s Best Island Hotels by Travel and Leisure, assures Suburban Travel’s clients will experience extraordinary experiences during their vacation.

My deluxe Caribbean “go to gal” is Karen Bull President of Island Luxe-Places of Personality, home of the finest properties in the Caribbean such as Curtain Bluff in Antigua, Eden Roc in St. Barths and Francis Ford Coppola’s Blancaneaux Resorts in Belize–just to name a few.

My affiliation with JDB Hotels, which represents a variety of hotels in Italy, as well as the personal relationships with tour companies and restaurateurs throughout Europe has allowed me to create customized Italian adventures for clients of all ages.

My clients have shared many wonderful stories of their adventures throughout the world. Some cried as they left the beautiful Tuscan Villa, Casali di Bibbano because they felt as though they were leaving ‘family’. Alberto, the owner of Casali, David, the on-site host and Chef Italo, personally see to it that each guest is treated as a member of the Casali family. Elisa Pagnotti Owner	Elisa’s travel career spans over three decades. She began her career right out of high school at STA, as a “Gal Friday”. From there she was promoted to ticket agent, which was in the dark ages, prior to computers, when she actually issued around the world airline tickets by hand! Fifteen years later she and her partner, Bill Weber, became the third owners of the oldest travel agency on the Main Line. Tragically, in Jan. of ’08 her partner and life-long friend, died suddenly. She was left with the decision to close the doors in light of the loss, as well as the failing economy, or carry on the legacy they built together. She chose the latter. Her primary focus would be on her two passions, Italy and Jamaica. Because of her frequent travel to these destinations she has established personal contacts with key industry personnel which enables her to create memories of a lifetime for her valued clients.  She had the opportunity to move Suburban Travel to Newtown Square and become an affiliate of  Liadis Travel, a Virtuoso Agency located in Newtown Square where she been happily located since December of ‘09.
Angelo Pagnotti, Sr Advisor	Angelo’s 1997 dream trip to Italy was an instant immersion that turned into a passion for Italy and all that is Italian. His favorite large cities are Rome, Venice and Florence. Favorite small cities are Positino/Amalfi, Sorrrento, Lake Region, Tuscany and the Isle of Capri. Angelo has a B.S. in Accounting from Villanova and 30 years of management experience in the electronics security industry. He traveled extensively for both business and leisure before choosing to focus on the magnificent culture, people, architecture, cuisine and romance that is Italy.“I enjoy helping people plan an Italian adventure, and believe every trip to Italy is a unique experience, almost as much as actually traveling to Italy…almost.”
